Poinsettia Art Journal

Hello  my dear lovely crafty friends, Welcome back to my blog.

A very warm good evening to you all. Hope everyone is good.

Welcome back to My Time To Craft Christmas Challenge and this fortnight our theme is PLAID or GINGHAM CHRISTMAS. I have created an art journal page on my Watercolor According journal book.

First I directly coloured the background using Mini Distress Ink and next I took stencil and using dark mini distress & bleeding tool I gave a visual effect to it. Next on another watercolour I stamped poinsettia flowers and leaves, coloured it with Altenew watercolour and fussy cut it. Next I took gingham washi tapes and add it on background, later I arranged the flowers and leaves on journal page and added sentence to finish it off.

Hope you like it. Please do leave me feedback so that I can improve myself more.

A our lovely sponsor for this challenge is

I have created an double page art journal using the digi image by our sponsor.

This journal page made my life a hell, you know why? Here in India we are still on lockdown and when I received this digi we were in lockdown and here at my place all printing shop was closed and my inkjet print will not work because when I used Watercolour it will blead so. But I didn't have any option so I took print from my inkjet printer only but my bad luck the print came very light and I couldn't work on it. Now I took my archival pen and redraw on the outline and made it dark. Now I took my dry pastel colour and coloured the digi image and fixed it with a coat of varnish. I coloured my background using chalk paints and did stencilling on it. Next I adhered the digi on one page and handwritten quote on another page. I had an awesome duet with this work and will never forget this work in my life.

Hope you like it. Please do leave me feedback so that I can improve myself more.

Normally everyone use candles for this technique but I have used iCraft Woodwax which is in liquid form.

I did decoupage on it using floral paper. Soon I will share the tutorial on this Distress technique on my YouTube channel.
