SISTERS

Hello Friends, from childhood i loved 2 things very much, one handmade cards and another soft toys. But these days i got interested in one more thing and that is MIXED MEDIA. Today i am posting one more mixed media. This work is dedicated to my elder sis.

Timeless Treasures

First i lined the paper from Ephemera on 10*12'' canvas and used distress ink on the edge.

Stencils

For next layering i used Tim Holtz stencils with distress ink.

Texture

Next i used modeling paste on it in few place.

Crackle Paint

After modeling paste dried i used crackle paint. I love the effect of clear rock candy.

Layering and Die-cuts

I took few bits papers from Naturals collection and Ephemera collection from Papericious and cut little large then my photos and pasted it. Added few more papers  underneath the photos. I have distress all the edge and used distress ink. I added few few die cuts which i got with Ephemera collection.

Embellishments

I added few glitter balls in a small bottle and glued it on die cuts and added a bird with a cage metal embellishment.

Embellishment

I torn the paper and gave little curl and glued a metal key between them.

Sentiment

I had few wooden alphabets in multi colors so, i took SISTERS words from it and colored it with Black soot distress and applied clear rock candy on it to give crackle effect and dimension to it.

Few more close up of my works. I am not an expert in Mixed Media and i don't have much things for that, so i have used what i have. Hope you all like it.
